Holden VL Commodore Turbo/Calais Turbo
Late 80's Commodores powered from factory by RB30ET motors. (SOHC 3.0 single turbo) They weigh about 1200kg fully dressed.
They have a cult following. We don't need stroker kits for our RB motors down here, we just bolt on and RB25 or RB26 head to our 3.0L RB blocks.

So my mate had an old VL, well he actually had 2, including a wagon. Now he's gone and stripped out the RB30 and he's put it in...wait for it......a HK Kingswood. Plus dropped a turbo in.
I'm kinda horrified.

I think everyone in Australia has owned one. I can think of 4 that family members have owned.

I have to admit, every time I see a mint canary yellow BT1 with steelies and a front mount, I kinda want one. I'm from the other side. The R31 side...
